• Kanekoma's Higonokami folding knife dates back centuries to the time of the samurai, and after the disbandment of the samurai army, swordsmen reoriented themselves to making self-defense knives and kitchen knives.
• The Higonokami knife is small, light, comfortable and simple, all these qualities make it preferred for all kinds of activities. In the making of Higonokami over time, modern materials and steels are used, but the shape and method of manufacture is preserved, which is entirely by hand, from forging the blade to its sharpening.
  
• Blade made of Blue Steel core (corrosive) laminated between two layers of softer steel which gives stability and elasticity to the blade.
  
• The handle in which the blade is retracted is made of stainless steel and according to the knife is made in different colors and with different coatings to give the knife a different style and character.
